NANO BROW TECHNIQUE
MACHINE HAIR STROKES

You are probably familiar with MICROBLADING or FEATHERING techniques. Machine hairstrokes or

NANO BROWS are the newest technique for eyebrows.

The hair-strokes technique uses a machine with a nano needle to insert the pigments into the skin. It's considered less painful compared to Microblading. Most clients can go through the process without numb cream.

Another benefit of this technique is that the skin rarely bleeds which helps to increase the retention rate for the brows.

This technique also allows the artist to create more hyper-realistic brow patterns for their clients.

LAMINATION

Lamination service before and after photo

BROW LAMINATION is a process of restructuring the brow hairs to keep them in a desired shape. It smooths out thin or bushy brows and lifts the hairs in a more upward direction.

Whereas MICROBLADING gives you the illusion of fuller brows, brow lamination primarily works with the hairs you’ve already got. Originating in Russia, this treatment has popped up in salons all over the U.K., and is slowly making its way to the U.S.

If you’ve ever wanted to semi-permanently look like you’ve got brow gel on, this is the treatment for you.

We also offer wax and tint to go with this service.

OMBRÉ BROWS

Ombre Brows

OMBRÉ BROWS is done with a more standard tattoo machine, an electronic device that inserts pigment into the epidermis layer of the skin and results in a powder-brow look, rather than hair-like strokes.

The result is gives your brows a softer, fuller finish that is reminiscent of a shadow.

There are different preference of colour intensity for you to choose from. It could be super soft and natural or more defined and bold.

MICROBLADING

MICROBLADING is a semi-permanent tattoo where the artist uses a manual hand tool with ‘microblades' that deposit semi-permanent pigments into the superficial dermis layer of the skin.

MICROBLADING creates the most natural looking eyebrows by creating crisp hair strokes to mimic your natural eyebrow hair.

This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows.

NANO BROWS/OMBRÉ BROWS

NANO BROWS & OMBRÉ BROWS is a 2 step process, usually 4-6 weeks apart. It is important to complete both the initial procedure and touch up for Nano Brows/Ombré Brows

- STEP 1 -

The initial procedure takes approximately 2-3 hours. During this time, a consultation is done where we discuss your desired brow look, choose a colour tone and draw the initial outline of the procedure area for your approval.

Though our faces are NOT perfectly symmetrical (one side is usually flatter than the other), we do our very best to create as much symmetry as possible! As we like to say, BROWS ARE SISTERS, NOT TWINS.

Once you are satisfied with the basic shape and symmetry, the area is then traced over and semi-permanent pigment is applied using a digital machine.

- STEP 2 -

The second stage of the treatment is a TOUCH-UP appointment. The touch up takes approximately 1 hour and is included in your service.

Touch ups are done NO EARLIER THAN 4 WEEKS AFTER your initial procedure and

NO LATER THAN 6 WEEKS. If you do not schedule your touch up within 6 weeks, you will be required to pay a touch up fee outlined in our touch up schedule.

- BEFORE THE TREATMENT -

Before each treatment the skin should not be burnt, or in recovery, or in the process of regeneration.

  • 24 hours prior to your appointment DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL or CAFFEINE.

  • 72 hours prior to your appointment DO NOT TAKE ADVIL or other blood thinners such as IBUPROFEN, ASPIRIN, NIACIN or VITAMIN E unless medically necessary.

  • Avoid booking during your menstrual cycle as it can increase your pain.

  • No waxing, tanning or tinting 3 days before the appointment.

The following treatments are NOT recommended 30 days before the treatment:

  • Botox and fillers

  • Fruit or lactic acids

  • Laser treatments

  • Chemical peel

  • Exposure to strong sunlight.

Before the treatment always consult with your artist if you:

  • Have problematic skin

  • Have serious health issues

  • Take certain medications

  • Already have old PMU on your eyebrows.

- AFTER THE TREATMENT -

WHAT IS TO BE AVOIDED AFTER NANO BROWS & OMBRÉ BROWS?

DURING THE FIRST 7 DAYS AVOID: all creams (except the protective ones), all the makeup (foundation) in the eyebrow area. Avoid exercises that cause excessive sweating, sauna, facial massage and inhalation.

IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS AVOIDSuntanning, sunbeds, light (laser) therapy, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, and creams that contain regeneration factors.

You should always avoid laser treatments over the treated area during the healing period (Fraxel laser, IPL) because they can destroy the pigment and cause inflammation. And faster fading out of the pigment can happen if you use antibiotics or hormonal therapy.

- HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? -

The pigment used in NANO BROWS and OMBRÉ BROWS is semi-permanent and can last between 1-2 years. The pigment will begin to fade within 12 months.

In order to keep your brows looking fresh, a touch up is recommended every 12 months to 24 months maximum. After 2 years, the full price for Nano Brows will be applied.

For clients that choose a softer look and lighter color shade initially or those who did not follow the after care instructions properly may require more frequent touch ups.

- HEALING TIME -

Immediately after your NANO BROWS and OMBRÉ BROWS procedures and in the first 10 days, your brows will appear significantly darker and more defined than perhaps your desired look. It may continue to get darker over the next few days as scabs begin to form, however this is not an accurate indication of the finished and healed result.

30-40% of your brow colour will fade as the scabs fall off within 7-10 days. In some cases, the scabs may take longer to heal and fall off.

DO NOT PICK YOUR SCABS!

The pigment is within the scab and you do not want to pull any pigment out of your skin prematurely. We all heal differently and what works on one client may not be effective on another so please do not compare your results.

The complete healing process takes approximately 4-6 weeks.
